FEMS Yeast Research Thematic Issue

“ISSY39: Fermenting the Future – From Bread to Breakthroughs”

To celebrate the ISSY39, FEMS Yeast Research is pleased to announce a Thematic Issue entitled “ISSY39: Fermenting the Future: From Bread to Breakthroughs.”

This Thematic Issue is published in conjunction with ISSY39, which will be held in Seoul, South Korea, from 8 to 12 November 2026. The issue highlights the pivotal role of ISSY and ICY in advancing global yeast research and features state-of-the-art studies aligned with the scientific themes of the conference.

FEMS Yeast Research now invites all ISSY39 participants to submit original research articles for consideration. All submissions will undergo the journal’s standard peer-review process and must report significant advances in yeast biology.

The journal is fully open access, and ISSY39 conference delegates are eligible for a 50% reduction in the Article Processing Charge (APC) for eligible manuscripts. To qualify, manuscripts must be submitted with at least one author registered for ISSY39. Authors should indicate their ISSY39 participation and request the APC discount in the cover letter, and select “ISSY39: Fermenting the Future: From Bread to Breakthroughs” from the thematic issue dropdown menu during submission.
